Do Scentsy’s Layoffs Affect You as a Customer (& Are Your Orders Are Safe?)

I want to touch on something you may have seen in the news this week, because I know you may have questions & I’d rather you hear it from me directly than wonder what it means for your orders or anything else.
Scentsy announced another round of workforce reductions at its headquarters in Meridian, Idaho... about 87 employees, or 11% of its corporate staff (the last round of Q2 2025). The roles impacted were in IT, digital marketing, strategic partnerships, & development. Manufacturing & order fulfillment were not affected.

Is Scentsy in trouble?
So let’s get right to what you actually want to know... your orders are not impacted.
The warehouse, fulfillment, & shipping teams are fully operational. If you’ve placed an order, it is being processed on the normal timeline. The layoffs were on the corporate side (the people who lead trainings, make the website prettier, or run digital ad campaigns) not the people who pick, pack, & ship your favorite products.
I’ll be honest with you, because that’s what I do. Scentsy, like a lot of companies, grew extremely fast during 2020 & 2021 when everyone was home & spending money upgrading their space. Then the world opened back up, & that growth leveled off so they’ve been right-sizing the business since 2025.
What I can tell you is that the products are still being made, the new catalog is still on schedule, & the company is still rolling out new programs & collaborations. Those aren’t things a company does when it’s shutting down... they’re things a company does when it’s focused on the future.
What this means for me, your consultant.
Honestly? Not much, day to day. I am sad that some of my favorite people are no longer with the company but at the end of the day, I run my own business. I set my own hours, I serve you as my customers, & I’m not on the corporate payroll. Being in the top 0.2% of the company as a Star Director means I’ve been through a few of these cycles. The consultants who keep going... who keep showing up, sharing, & serving their customers... are the backbone of what makes Scentsy work. That hasn’t changed.
The bottom line
If you love Scentsy, keep loving it. The warmers still warm. The wax still smells incredible. My shop is still open, I’m still here to answer your questions, & there is genuinely no better time to try the new spring scents than right now.
