SYSTEMS FOR YOUR DIRECT SALES BUSINESS... DO YOU HAVE ONE?

What emotions come over you when I say the word… system? Dread, fear, panic… calm, relief, & control? If you were in that first camp, this should put your mind at ease.

I don’t want you to overthink the word… it’s more of a concept. A system is just a set of tasks that YOU do on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. You can pick up the systems that people share but that’s their system. It works… for them. I see too many times people pick up a cookie cutter system only for it to not work for them because they didn’t make it their own. You have to do the work to piece together your own. Think about it this way: SYSTEM - Save Your Sanity Time Energy & Money. It’s just a set of tasks

Save Your Sanity Time Energy & Money.

I have set tasks on my daily income producing activities.

I have set tasks on how I network.

I have set tasks on how I coach people who have referral links.

How I share, how I follow up, how I onboard, how I train, how I thank my customers…

Everything I do has specific tasks… tasks that make up MY system. So going forward, I’ll be referring to this set of specific tasks as… a system.

So now that we know what a system is, I want to give you FIVE reasons why you need one:

  1. Consistency: A system will allow you to be consistent. Consistency is key. A consistent system process will likely produce consistent results. This also allows you to control as much as possible in your business which will deliver dependable results.

  2. Clarity: A system will give you clarity. What am I supposed to be doing today? Who am I supposed to be in contact with? What am I supposed to say? When I wake up in the morning, there’s never a question in my mind about what needs to be done that day. I am clear on what my tasks need to be in order to stay consistent

  3. Productivity: Let me ask you this, if you knew exactly what needed to be done in your business (not on your business) and you knew that you could get those specific set of tasks completed in an hour, how much time would that give back to you to be with your family, to do other hobbies, to work on your business, to learn a new skill to take your business to the next level?

  4. Improve: Full transparency how I do something in my business today is nothing how I did it last year five years ago 10 years ago. Your system is just a certain number of task in a specific order. The longer you do those tasks, the quicker the more simple, the cheaper things get for you. As you create your system, and work in it, you will consistently be reinventing your system moving around the parts, removing things that don’t make sense anymore adding things in that do.

  5. Delegation: when the time is right for you having a system will allow you to delegate either the entire system or steps within the system to someone else that will allow you to focus on even more income producing activities. and just a side note here I have another video about delegating some task if you don’t wanna watch a video I do want to mention if there are task in your business that you know are necessary that either one you just don’t like doing or two you cannot for the life of you stay consistent with those are the tasks that you should delegate first.

Over the upcoming weeks, we are going to dive into a lot of different systems. I want you to set aside a few minutes and really identify if you have a system set up for each one of the items in that PDF then as the weeks go by my goal for you is that you feel more confident in the tasks that you are taking in your business and, at the end, hopefully you have a system for everything.
